Hot Potatoes and Dreamweaver

Hot Potatoes and Dreamwearver are perfect partners in creating online practice and editing the webpage. The two software, especially Hot Potatoes, are very easy to use. You can use them to create your own online practice or test for your studnets.

Hot Potatoes: free software

Adobe Dreamweaver (the former Macromedia Dreamweaver): trial download

I will present two very simple online exercises by Hot Potatoes, and edit the webpage by Dreamweaver.

Here is Hot Potatoes. You can use it to create several types of exercises: cloze, match, quiz, cross and mix. Then by using The Masher, you can combine each practice into one integrated exercise.

  1. i am so much impressed the way you have provided snapshots of hotpotates and dreamweaver. i think we have learnt a lot how to make online english learning exercises. until now i have always wondered how these matching,MC, gap-filling exercises were made. i never knew that 'hot-potatoes' can make this happen very easily. as u said, hot-potatoes is a very user-friendly software and i am so much proud of my self being able to make such online exercises. u know i keep on asking my colleagues, 'Do u know how to make matching exercises on computer?' and when they say no , i feel proud of myself, just like kids who go all over the town telling people about something they know more than kids of their own age.

I know you are almost a expert about these two technologies. The way you present the exercises designed by HP and DW really impressed me a lot.But I'm also interested in you reflection about using in these technologies.
